If you’re working to build an online business, which I’m assuming is the case since you’re reading this article, then you should ask yourself the question; Should I have a Blog? There are many affective means of building an online presence or following. You can use Facebook, Twitter, or many other tools.

Social media has become an increasingly important part of building any business today and with so many social media tools to use, this question of whether to have a blog is a critical one. I believe and other internet marketers believe that having a blog is a vital part of your online business success. Here are some quick reasons a blog should be a major part of your Online Business.

1. Search Engine Optimization

Blogs naturally create the potential for good SEO (search engine optimization). As you write posts on a regular basis, you produce more and more content which is then found by search engines as people search for information. Blogs easily allow you to choose search categories and tags which help improve SEO as well.

Blogs are a great way to build a place for capturing leads and building a mailing list. Building your mailing list is one of, if not the, most important part of your online business. To build a business online, people need to get to know you and trust your. Your blog is a great tool for sharing yourself with others. People read your posts and see what you’re about and how you think and do business. Blogs let the world see who you are. It lets you grow your personal brand.

Some of these other people will potentially follow you on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, etc.

Blogging opens your mind to many other ideas and sources of information. As you write your blog posts you are gathering links to many resources which you can use in the future.

Often you can write a blog on a topic and later use the main information from you blog to create a video or infographic to be used in another part of your marketing, such as Youtube or Penterest. You may even use your blogs as resource for a future book or ebook. You’ve already done most of the work, now just put it together in a book form.

10. Your readers can give you valuable feedback

Your blog is a great place for your readers and customers to give you feedback about your material. I’ve received feedback about the format of my site which has helped me. Sometimes simple suggestions from readers can spark a critical change.

11. You make a positive impact on society

As you write good, useful information for your blog posts, you are giving positive material for others to use in their lives and business. You are making a positive impact on the lives of others.

12. It’s Fun!

Writing a Blog can be a fun part of your business. It gives you a creative outlet where you can use your talents and creative side. No matter what your field of business is, your blog can be a fun way for you to be yourself and share yourself with the world. It’s Fun!

So many people have tried Internet Marketing, MLM, Network Marketing and other means of having their own Home Based Business. So many have tried and so many have failed.

For example: if you are blogging, you need write a new blog regularly. If you create a blog and don’t add to it but once a month, it will not be affective.
The more you update and add to your method, the more people will find you on the Internet. You will develop a following and become a leader that people look to to find information they are looking for. In the same way search engines will find you better and give you a higher ranking. To be effective and Succeed in Internet Marketing, you need to Be Consistent in your efforts!
